We were awakened by the rattling of windows, faint screams, and the "gentle" rocking of the earth--we also fell asleep the same way. Around 1:40 am last night (really this morning), the windows started shaking, but the ground shaking didn´t last too long. It still took me a bit longer to fall asleep though. Then, as if we hadn´t lost enough sleep, the ground started shaking again at 7:50 am and lasted quite a bit longer than the first. "Okay, okay, we´re up!"
We went to the front room to look out the window to see if anyone had run outside. There was only one older man, in his pajamas and barefoot, running after his frightened dog. I looked on the computer to check the strength of both tremors--the first was a 4.4 and the second, 5.4. It is going to be quite an interesting day!
I´ll keep you posted if we have any more.
