Today I was boiling some eggs to make Easter Eggs. I know, I´m about 3 weeks late, but better late than never, right? Actually, I was waiting for my mom to send me an egg coloring kit (they don´t have this tradition in Peru) and it didn´t arrive until earlier this week, so that´s why we´re just coloring the eggs now. Anyway, I was using a rather small pan so I was cooking the eggs in batches. First, I cooked the eggs that we ate for our breakfast, then I cooked half the eggs for coloring, and finally the last half.
The first two batches went smoothly, but after I put in the last batch, I got a little distracted. I got a new video game for my birthday that we hadn´t played yet and Pedro and I were trying to figure it out. Suddenly we heard a huge "POP" and we ran into the kitchen to find the pan totally dry and some of the eggs had exploded!
The worst part--I had gotten an egg timer for my birthday!
